An Outdoor Living Stuff review, news of a closure, another poll extension, and the first rumour of the next expansion pack

News24 Games Reviews Outdoor Living Stuff

If you’re still unsure whether to buy The Sims 3 Outdoor Living Stuff, maybe News24 Games can help with their review:

To wrap it up, I am sure no matter what I say the hardcore Sims-fans out there will be picking this one up. Though I just cannot help feel that the cons outweigh the pros. When you compare the amount of items you get, to the price of the actual pack (along with no signs of new interactions) it just does not seem worth it. Sure, you get to pimp out your backyard, but the question remains – will you?

Current Poll Extended To Tuesday 8th March

I extended the current poll, asking whether you were given The Sims 3 Late Night for Christmas, to Tuesday 8th March as I still hadn’t received enough votes to close it. You can expect the results on the website then, and in the next issue of the News Email.

The Sims 2 Store Closing 31st March

The Sims 2 Store, EA’s concept trial that led to The Sims 3 Store, never left beta and was never made available outside the US and Canada, is to close on 31st March, EA has announced. Items purchased will no longer be downloadable after that date. SimPoints can be purchased up until 9th March, and can also apparently be spent at The Sims 3 Store if you use the same EA account for both. Click below for more details.

During This Fortnight: 2007
The first version of the website to not feature frames launched. Unfortunately the new version was still confined, as I decided its width purely based on whether it divided into six for the top navigation and ended up with a design that was too thin, and also didn't allow for the addition of a The Sims 3 section later.

Website design introduced during this fortnight in 2007

It lasted just over a year before the current design launched, which is so good (well, I think anyway) that it's lasted longer than any other design and I haven't thought of anything better yet.
