Renault Fluence Z.E. Now Available For Free Download

Another Renault electric car has been made available to download for free from The Sims 3 Store. This time it’s the Fluence Z.E., which is a bit more traditional looking than the last one. Once again, the offer is “void” in the US and Canada, and unless you’ve changed your locale on the website, the link below won’t work if you’re in one of those countries.

GameSpot Gets Hands-On With Kids And Teens In Generations

GameSpot has posted a new hands-on preview of The Sims 3 Generations, focusing on kids and teenagers:

We figured we’d seen the last of our teen’s happy days and sent her off to bed. Yet, the very next morning, the phone suddenly rang to reveal that the parents of our family had just won a fabulous sweepstakes vacation for adults only, leaving our teenager in charge of the house.

GAME Has An Interview With Generations Producer Graham Nardone

UK retailer GAME has posted an interview with The Sims 3 Generations producer Graham Nardone:

Would you say The Sims 3: Generations was all about life experiences?

Yeah! The Sims 3: Generations, at its core, is all about bringing it back to being about the Sims. It’s this rich spectrum of life experiences across all the age ranges and really seeing how it impacts their lives, and what experiences it takes the Sims through. For us it is really cool to be able to have this opportunity to give this to the community because we have never done this experience for an expansion before. We are really excited to see how people respond to that because it is a great way for you to relate to your Sims and take them through entirely new experiences.

GameSpot Has A Q&A With Generations Assistant Producer

I’ve found a Q&A with The Sims 3 Generations assistant producer Ryan Vaughan on GameSpot - it was actually posted before last issue was sent, so I’m sorry I didn’t find it sooner:

GS AU: How much of the content in The Sims 3: Generations comes from the design team, and how much is driven by community feedback?

RV: With every new expansion pack, we sit down as a studio and plan out what new gameplay features and ideas we want to offer our fans. We spend time reading the forums and listening to the wishes of the community so we can offer them something they’ll really love and also something we want to offer them.

Free The Sims 3 Ringtones Released

To celebrate getting five million likes on their The Sims 3 Facebook page, EA has released a couple of ringtones for free download. They’re basically just cut-down versions of two songs from the game: “The Sims 3 Main Theme” and “The Sims 3 Aisles of Miles of Smiles Theme”. You require a phone that can handle ‘tones in mp3 format. If the below link doesn’t work for you, you’ll need to change your locale to English > United States via the second link first.

GameSpot Focuses On Teenagers In New Generations Preview

GameSpot has posted a new The Sims 3 Generations preview focusing on teenagers:

Generations will give your teens the opportunity to socialize with the other kids in the neighborhood at parties. If they’re lucky, their parents may take an adults-only vacation, leaving the teens at home on the honor system–which logically leads to the expansion’s new house party system. With it, teens can invite their friends over by phone and use the new “break up party” social to quickly shoo all their guests out of the house before the cops come.

Want To “Murder” Your Sims In The Sims 3? IGN Tells You How

IGN has (somewhat randomly) posted a new feature covering the ways you can “murder” Sims in The Sims 3:

Drowning
This one has been a staple since the first game, but it’s a little more difficult to pull off in The Sims 3 because your Sims can actually crawl out of the pool without a ladder. How do you fix this? Simple – just build a wall around the pool.
