Graham Nardone: Snowflake Day is a new holiday that Sims enjoy at the end of winter every year. All Sims feel the holiday cheer on this special day, and they love going to the festival to socialize with their friends and neighbors over a cup of hot chocolate or eggnog.

Seasons Producer Explains Winter In New Blog Post

The Sims 3 Seasons producer Graham Nardone has posted a blog entry on detailing winter:

Certainly the most apparent change when winter arrives in Seasons is just how different the world around you appears. By that time, the trees in the world will have shed all their leaves to give a somewhat barren look to parts of your town. You’ll also notice less daylight, as the sun will peek over the horizon later in the morning and set in the early afternoon, causing temperatures to plunge.
