The lead producer for The Sims 3 introduces The Sims 3 Island Paradise in a new blog entry:

Resorts are another area of the game that we’re focusing on. Whether you’re looking to build a sprawling mega resort, have your Sims stay in a stilt foundation bungalow out over the ocean, or even directly manage an exclusive beachside retreat, resorts in The Sims 3 Island Paradise provide these experiences and much more. With advanced Build/Buy features such as the ability to build out over the ocean, create pools using the new resort-specific Blueprint Mode, and place dynamic new resort towers to attract potential guests.

Latest University Life Reviews: Lazygamer

Wednesday 20th March 2013 | 12:02 pm UK time | Categories

More than a week after the last one, there’s finally another The Sims 3 University Life review — Lazygamer rated it 7.5 out of 10:

If you are not a fan of leaving your Sims’ house and  going away on a mini-adventure, especially a time  consuming one such as this, you may not enjoy all that  University Life has to offer. However, there are real  benefits that Sims can gain from completing a degree (or  two!), including being wealthier and having more  ‘personality’.

Current Poll Extended To 2nd April

Tuesday 19th March 2013 | 1:51 pm UK time | Categories

As I haven’t received enough votes to close the current poll, which asks whether three expansion packs being released this year is too much, I’ve extended it to Tuesday 2nd April. That’s now when I plan to close the poll and reveal the results. If you haven’t voted yet, please do so now to the right of any page, or click below to give an explanation with your vote. Latest University Life Reviews: GamesRadar

Tuesday 12th March 2013 | 11:34 am UK time | Categories

The latest The Sims 3 University Life review comes from GamesRadar, who rated it a “Mediocre” two and a half stars out of five:

In many ways, The Sims 3: University Life does a great job of replicating those wild college years. However,  what works in real life doesn’t always make for  compelling gameplay. The classes, parties, finals, streaking, and keg stands are great touches, but that doesn’t change the fact that you’ll spend a lot of time with your finger on the speed up command, and your family at home may as well not exist in the meantime.

Latest University Life Reviews: GameZone

Thursday 7th March 2013 | 12:07 pm UK time | Categories

The latest The Sims 3 University Life review comes from GameZone, who rated it a “Great” 8.5 out of 10:

The Sims 3 University Life is more than just a themed  expansion. It’s a refreshing add-on that will have  lasting effects beyond that of just your Sim’s college  career. More importantly, it’s a meaningful expansion  that fills a gap in The Sims 3 gameplay.

Meet Some Of The Sims 3 Development Team In New Interviews

Wednesday 6th March 2013 | 6:06 pm UK time | Categories

Some interviews have been posted on TheSims3.com allowing us to get to know some members of The Sims 3 development team:

GRAHAM NARDONE, ASSOCIATE PRODUCER (@SimGuruGraham)
EA REDWOOD SHORES

If you could be any icon from the 70s, 80s or 90s, who would you be and why?
I’d have to go with Dan Marino. Growing up as a kid in Miami I could actually see Joe Robbie Stadium in the distance from my bedroom window, so it only stood to reason that I became a huge Miami Dolphins fan. There was no bigger name in Miami for a near 20-year span then “Dan the Man.”

First University Life Reviews: Game Revolution

Wednesday 6th March 2013 | 12:27 pm UK time | Categories

The first The Sims 3 University Life review has arrived — Game Revolution has rated it 4.0 out of 5:

Among the stronger expansions for The Sims 3, University Life fills in the time gap missing from the series and offers enough depth to extend the life of every Sim meaningfully. In addition to introducing a new plant-based Sim type, the added social content broadens the interaction of the Sim universe.
