Things have slowed down a bit now - all I've got for you this time
is one more Late Night review, a new The Sims 3 game update, what
could be the next The Sims 3 stuff pack, and poll results
Latest Late Night Reviews
Just one The Sims 3 Late Night review has gone online since last
issue – IncGamers rated it 8.0 out of 10:
Another solid expansion for The Sims 3 that, while not
changing any fundamental aspects of the game, provides yet more
charming ways for your little computer people to fail or succeed
in their virtual lives.

The Sims 3 Late Night review at IncGamers
The Ranking from GameRankings remains at 81.00% based on just
three reviews. Metacritic is a bit messed up as I write this with
all-but-one of its reviews missing, but last time I noted the
Metascore it stood at 74 ("Mixed or average reviews") based on 11
reviews, which is the same as it was last issue. 74 is the 'score it
specifies now, but apparently based on just one review, even though
a Metascore isn't given when there's less than four reviews, and the
one review's score is 75, which makes that Metascore impossible.

The Sims 3 Late Night at GameRankings
If you’re wondering why I still haven’t wrapped up my reviews
coverage, it’s because there’s not enough reviews on GameRankings for
me to be able to fairly compare The Ranking with those attained by
previous expansion packs yet, and GameSpot (one of the biggest
gaming websites) has still not posted a review, which surely they’re
going to do considering the number of previews they did, right?
New The Sims 3 Game Update Stops Drink
Trays Sticking To Hands, More
EA has released a new game update for The Sims 3, fixing lots of
bugs, mainly affecting Late Night. Here’s a choice few:
Late Night Updates
- Hot tubs can now be placed on the balconies of high
rise buildings by using the moveobjectson true cheat.
- Vampires now receive the “Slept like the Dead” moodlet
after sleeping in the Altar Bed.
- Crying babies will now prompt Sims to leave a hot tub
and tend to the baby.
[...]
Base Game Updates
- The tray of drinks will no longer become stuck to a
Sim’s hand when performing the “Make Drinks” interaction on
regular bars.
- Wall tops are no longer invisible when building on an
empty lot on PCs with ATI video cards.
You should be prompted to get the update when you next open the
launcher – but make sure you follow the all-important checklist
first! For the full list of updates, and that critical checklist,

“Outdoor Living Stuff” Spotted On
Amazon.com
What’s likely to be the next stuff pack for The Sims 3 has been
spotted on the website of US retailer Amazon.com: “Outdoor Living
Stuff”. The page has now been taken down, but I managed to capture
the description:
For the first time ever, your Sims can get the best in
outdoor luxury for their homes. Whether they’re decorating the
perfect patio, setting the mood with a new hot tub, or firing up
a state-of-the-art grill for the ultimate BBQ, your Sims’
outdoor decor is getting a boost.
…and the product features:
- Build the perfect al fresco setting for your Sims with
stylish furnishings, outdoor electronics, and cozy fire pits
and fireplaces.
- Give your Sims several uniquely styled hot tubs where
they can relax with friends or get romantic with someone
special.
- Turn up the heat with an all-new built-in countertop
grill as part of your Sims’ outdoor kitchen and take their
cooking to a whole new level.
- Choose from two new styles. ?Garden Terrace? features
elegant wrought-iron pieces, while ?Sunset on the Veranda?
embraces the warmth of outdoors.
- Dress your Sims in an array of chic but casual attire
for a great day in the sun or a relaxing evening under the
stars.
It said it will be released on 1st February.
