At long last, GameSpot has reviewed The Sims 3 Late Night, giving it a rating of 7.5 out of 10, a score described as “good”:
On one hand, it’s disappointing that The Sims 3: Late Night isn’t as noteworthy as the previous expansions. On the other, it’s so much fun to grab your bandmates and go out for a night on the town, grooving and gabbing with the rich and famous, that you might temporarily forget you’ve seen some of this stuff before.

I think now's the time to conclude my reviews coverage, as reviews aren't really being released anymore. As I have done previously, let's now compare the Ranking from GameRankings and Metascore from Metacritic that Late Night attained to those attained by it's predecessors - just in time to get a copy for Christmas in the unlikely event you've been waiting for this!
First, Metacritic. Late Night’s Metascore stands at 75 based on
14 reviews, which is one better than Ambitions (74, based on 25
reviews), but worse than World Adventures which has a ‘score of 81
(based on 31 reviews). It’s also lower than the base game’s ‘score,
which is 86 (based on 75 reviews). Comparing it to The Sims 2
expansion packs, this is higher than the ‘scores attained by Bon
Voyage (74) and FreeTime (74), but lower than every other one,
except Apartment Life which has the same ‘score. Below are links to
all the games mentioned on Metacritic with their 'score in brackets:
>
The Sims 3 Late Night (75)
> The
Sims 3 Ambitions (74)
> The
Sims 3 World Adventures (81)

> The
Sims 2 University (81)

> The

> The
Sims 2 Seasons (78)
> The
Sims 2 Bon Voyage (74)
> The
Sims 2 FreeTime (74)
> The
Sims 2 Apartment Life (75)
GameRankings then. Late Night’s Ranking is 80.00%, but this is
based on just five reviews, so could change quite a lot if they add
any more. Comparing what we’ve got now though, this is higher than
Ambitions’ Ranking of 75.19% (based on eight reviews), but lower
than World Adventures’ Ranking of 82.74% (based on 17 reviews). This
is also lower than the Ranking attained by the base game – 86.65%
based on 54 reviews. Late Night’s Ranking is higher than every The
Sims 2 expansion pack bar University, which has a Ranking of 81.11%
based on 31 reviews. Below are links to all the games mentioned on
GameRankings with their Ranking in brackets:
>
The Sims 3 Late Night (80.00%)
> The
Sims 3 Ambitions (75.19%)
> The
Sims 3 World Adventures (82.74%)

If I become aware of any more Late Night reviews in the future, I
won’t tell you about them in the News section of the News Email, but
will still add them to the Reviews tab, and note that change in the
Latest Updates box. I still want to see your reviews too! Click the
