EA has announced a new town that will be made available to purchase on The Sims 3 Store on 25th August, called Hidden Springs:

Featuring all-new locations, items, Sims, and a little magic, The Sims 3 HiddenSprings invites anyone to uncover the mysteries of the newest world.

Hidden Springs Live Q&A Announced

EA has suddenly decided to do a live Q&A for Hidden Springs today (Friday) at 10 am PT (that’s 6 pm BST I think):

Join The Sims 3 Producer – Azure Bowie-Hankins – at 10:00AM PT on August 12 as she introduces The Sims 3 Hidden Springs, a new world from the folks behind The Sims 3.Learn about the new world your Sims can explore and uncover the secrets of Hidden Springs, set to launch the week of August 25th worldwide.

Take advantage of this opportunity to learn more about The Sims 3 Hidden Springs and pick Azure’s brain during the Q&A session where she’ll be answering questions from The Sims fans worldwide.

Hooked Gamers Previews Pets

Hooked Gamers has posted a preview of The Sims 3 Pets:

In The Sims 3: Pets you will be able to create a huge variety of dogs, cats, and for the first time ever; horses, with over one hundred different breeds. Once you’ve created your pet you can horse around with the customization tool and produce truly unique pets for your sims. Not only can you determine how your pet will look, but you can also pick the traits of your animal from intelligent and brave to skittish and clueless. The traits you pick will determine the personality of your pet, whether you have a fierce guard dog a destructive cat or a trusty steed.
