Latest The Sims 3 Game Update Detailed In New Blog Post

A new blog entry has been posted on TheSims3.com which explains some new features included with the recent game update:

Store  Sets in the Game.
The  newest and most popular sets from The Sims 3 Store are now featured in Buy Mode as Featured Store Sets!  This feature allows you to find exclusive sales without leaving your game!  You’ll notice that each room category has a new button that you can click to  see the sets for that room. Once a set is purchased from Buy Mode,  you can place the individual items directly from the set preview window.  This eliminates the need to search for the set items in individual object  categories.

Some werewolves in The Sims 3 SupernaturalGamesRadar has got hold of a new The Sims 3 Supernatural screenshot showing some werewolves. Those in the US can suggest captions for a chance at winning one of five copies of The Sims 3 and The Sims 3 Supernatural; those outside the US or who don’t fancy entering the competition can also view the screenshot on the game page.

New Blog Post Introduces Fairies And Zombies In Supernatural

The Sims 3 Supernatural’s fairies and zombies are introduced in a new blog post on TheSims3.com:

From the get-go, we knew fairies had to be mischievous. I mean, c’mon, it’s in their nature! We plotted and schemed on how to go about tricking Sims unbeknownst. Through legend, lore, and a bit of creativity from our design team, we found a great combination of distracting gestures combined with fairy magic and fairy traps to keep Sims on their toes. The outcome means that fairies have an entire repository of tricks and traps that they can go through.

IGN Looks At Fairies And Zombies In New Supernatural Preview

IGN has posted a new preview of The Sims 3 Supernatural, focusing on fairies and zombies:

If your fairy is in the mood for mischief, then you can trick your fellow sims. Fairies have the ability to distract those around them with gestures, then use either magic or traps to put sims into bad situations. For instance fairies can cast Skivvies on a sim, making them change into their sleepwear.

Second Supernatural Live Broadcast Announced

EA has announced the second The Sims 3 Supernatural live broadcast:

Join us for our second Live Broadcast for The Sims 3 Supernatural on Friday, August 3 at 10:00 a.m. PST. for an update on the latest news, game features and the chance to ask your questions live. Senior Game Designer Aaron Conners and Assistant Producer Megan Myers will take us through the newest game demo, deep dive on fairies and zombies and even unveil a surprising secret or two.

According to Facebook it’s actually 10 am PDT, which is 6 pm BST (GMT/UTC + 1) (if you hover your mouse over the time on Facebook it should tell you the time in your time zone). There’s no page for the video yet, so you’ll have to check the Facebook event page nearer the time for a link.

Try Supernatural At HMV Gamerbase Next Month

HMV has announced that The Sims 3 Supernatural will be touring their Gamerbase stores next month. Here’s the dates and times:

The Sims 3 Game Update To Version 1.36 Released

EA has released a game update for The Sims 3, updating it to version 1.36. Here’s some of the changes:

Showtime

  • Fixed a crash when Data Execution Prevention is turned on.
  • Collections are now available.
  • Sims no longer receive a green tint while in CAS.
  • Relationships will not be negatively impacted when not responding to crowd requests while performing on stage.
