Another Showtime Live Chat And Q&A Announced For 23rd

EA has announced another The Sims 3 Showtime Live Chat and Q&A, with this one planned to take place on Thursday 23rd January at 10 am PST (6 pm GMT/UTC). As with the previous one, it will feature Senior Game Designer Aaron Conners, Producer Graham Nardone, and Associate Producer Brittany Henry. An “all new show-stopping inside glimpse” is promised, as well a look at the new social features. Go to the page to sign up for a reminder email.

UK: Play Showtime Two Weeks Before Release

EA UK has announced an “early preview tour” of The Sims 3 Showtime:

This February, gamerbase in association with EA Games are giving you the chance to play the latest expansion pack in The Sims 3 series with an early preview tour of The Sims 3 Showtime!

Taking place in all four gamerbase superstores around the country, players will be able to experience what this exciting new expansion pack has to offer two weeks before it is released in the UK.

Cost: It is free to attend this event and try out the game

Minimum Age: You must be at least 12 years old to play

Showtime Live Event Announced

A live preview event for The Sims 3 Showtime has been announced. Hosted by Senior Game Designer Aaron Conners, it will take place in just over a week, on Thursday 26th January at 10 am PST, which is 6 pm GMT/UTC:

Starting at 10:00 a.m. PST, we’ll treat gamers to a special look at the newest expansion coming for The Sims 3. Conners will share gameplay techniques, demo the all-new SimPort feature and show-off the different ways for your Sims to rise to fame!Conners will also be taking questions about the expansion during our live Q&A, so come prepared. You can submit your query at any time during the session by using the “Cover It Live” function at the bottom of the page.

Showtime Katy Perry Collector’s Edition Announced (Updated)

Katy Perry in The Sims 3 ShowtimeEA has announced The Sims 3 Showtime Katy Perry Collector’s Edition, which includes “a downloadable venue, plus a Katy Perry themed hairstyle, fashions, guitar, fruit-themed stage props, and an exclusive poster”. They’ve released a music video for her single “The One That Got Away” created in The Sims 3 (performed in English) as part of the announcement, which can be viewed by clicking below and switching to the Videos & Images tab (the “katy perry trailer”).

Graham Nardone Discusses The Fans In New Feature

A feature by The Sims 3 producer Graham Nardone has been posted on The Sims 3 (UK) Facebook page in which he discusses how the team listen to fans’ requests:

For those of you who have been fans and active in the community spanning the years of The Sims, we thank you. We’re thrilled that people are so passionate about the games that you ask for past favorite features to return in new game experiences. Many fan requests have been incorporated into upcoming game releases and are being factored into future game developments.

He also discusses whether the new connected features coming in The Sims 3 Showtime were requested by fans.
